very thought provoking ... and i believe quite true ...as we learn to accept our true selves ...what others think, takes the seat at the back of the line or i think you are right ..our health/youth suffers .. i like where your haiku-like, Mitchell/Yetts poem takes me :)

If we are young-at-heart should we hide that in order to conform? no but the pressures from peers to 'behave' can make us unwilling and as you rightly point out - unwell.

The youngster in the pic inspired this. I thought he's enjoying the taste of that and not bothered what anyone thinks maybe that's the secret of eternal youth.
My brother lives on smoothies and loves to see my face screw up when he offers them to me. I politely decline. His are always green and taste of yeuck.

I feel mind and heart are always young. And body follows these both. As long as people don't get carried away by the outer storms then this very title aptly fits to the very thought that you are conveying to us readers.

And yet... we can see the sparkle in the eyes of (most) peers of the older generation when one of their friends "misbehaves"... they live vicariously through them.
