collective thoughts

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson

"
the dog told me all I need to know about you
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
loose gravel
raked thru
the fish bowl
of my life
sometimes,
you gotta just
let it go,
or sweep it away.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Milk weed
and honey
sweet smell
of hay in the
breaking dawn,

thoughts of you
percolating coffee,
wet like morning dew,
enter me softly
tickle my nose,

imagine you to
the ends of my toes,
fill my cup,
drink you up,
                               where it stops,
                               nobody knows.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ate you
for breakfast
and slurped up
the last of you
with the crust
leftover from
the one before,
licking the plate
clean,
I had to admit
I wanted
more.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if I had to do it all over again, I would. and I would b***h about it again too.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ran up the hill,
I caught my breath.
the hitch in my side,
was just a signal,
to crank up the music,
and run some more.
       if there is an obstacle
       in my way,
       I go through, not around.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apologies are not necessary at this juncture. You can't undo what's been undone.

Now that is an interesting thought. I think it deserves a poem.

Lol, I cant wait to read it.
Wow this poem is very dynamic there is so much going on I enjoyed getting lost in it. This poem almost feels bipolar but I love that about it most how the moods change from endearing to consuming and back again. This is the kind of poem a reader can feel because you put so much emotion into it. Great Write!

All parts are enjoyable. I enjoyed the last most and the first mostly and the middle was cream filled the way I like it. The aphorism was the cherry.
