Paint stripper

Paint stripper

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

inspired by Jacob's "the reality of turtleneck sweaters" and Lydia's "buttonholes"

"

Winter.

My jeans,

Painted on

Over a defensive layer

Of long undies,

Complete with girlie snowflakes.

Not that it did any good.

You were a natural

At stripping paint.

this is so cool--what a great last line...all those defenses, gone with a touch...

and i remember those jeans, on both sides...had a pair of Levi Super Slims...maroon colored, painted on...

just love this.

Thank you so much. I am glad this little piece reached its mark.
oh my, has the sensual/sexual tension just risen another notch at WC??!! from turtlenecks to buttonholes and now panted on jeans and girlie snowflake undies... my mind is adrift in "high school confidentials", now where did I put that paint scraper... er... I mean where is my button remover... i used to have a turtleneck removing tool around here somewhere.... argh pfth pfth over load, danger danger I think I will go take a nap now...

KL, very good reply and addition to Lydi and Jacob's poems... girlie snowflake undies huh... I am innocent and had my eyes closed as I read... honest..

THIS IS SO ADORABLE! I can see it from start to finish. So playful & reflecting so much more about your surroundings, without even mentioning it. The "stripping paint" is incredibly imaginative & memorable . . . I'm so jealous of the way you coin these awesome phrases in your writing!!!!
