The Last Song I'm Wasting On You...

The Last Song I'm Wasting On You...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik
"

Inspired by a song :)

....

THE LAST SONG I’M WASTING ON YOU….

This is not the first song which I’m writing for you,

Heartless everyday yet I write something on you,

Endlessly I have realized that now I can’t forget you.

Lexicon now can’t give enough words to me,

Any sunrise now can’t ignite that passion in me.

Sorrow surrounds me from every side,

This light now seems to turn into a dark night.

Stop coming into my thoughts,

Oh! I don’t need you anymore.

Now I have started to move on with life,

Go away, I don’t cry for you anymore.

I’m watching the passage of your every memory,

Most of them now seem like some old sad story.

Writing was my passion, but you made it my life,

As about you I can write throughout my life.

Still I swear I’ll never write anything more on you,

This pain which you gave me is now counting on you.

I will find something else to waste my words,

No more I will write just to feel good enough.

Gnarled I will feel to write again those words.

Oh! This is the last song I’m wasting on you,

No, now you can’t hide as this one is just for you.

Your presence no more surrounds me,

Only I feel myself and this world without you.

Unwillingly I promise I will never waste my words on you

Just yesterday only I was practicing with my band and just for a break we started to sing the song "The Last Song I'm wasting On You" by Evanescence. Since we all are their huge fans and I was so much into that mood that this piece came into my mind.
It is entirely inspired by the song "The last song I'm wasting on you" by Evanescence :)

Wow….
Fantastic….
A sincere translation…
Of a dilemma….into a poem…
Very perfect in that sense….
Very touching too…
You attempt to come to terms with simultaneous feelings of attraction and repulsion…towards your object of love…

It is so touching, yet sad. It really brings out that minuscule twing of hope to feel that someone near, yet also it shows that determination to go on. I tend to like these writings. Well, done.

a gorgeous write. ending a relationship is such a hard thing to do, but at times, is necessary. i think this is the perfect ending. time to move on & waste no more time pining for what can never be. a sad write, full of heartbreak, written beautifully.

Wow, this has depth, passion and it just filled the page with great emotion. I loved it. This line really got to me...
Writing was my passion, but you made it my life

....and this stanza is very powerful...

Stop coming into my thoughts,
Oh! I don't need you anymore.
Now I have started to move on with life,
Go away, I don't cry for you anymore.

A very expressive piece of work that touched me. Wonderful!!!!

You educate us with every new write of yours mentioning songs and words that we might not have heard before.

Like all your poems, this one too is bursting with emotions. I feel loneliness, grief, tragedy, bereavement, and anger that stems from the sadness of being left all alone and the helplessness of being able to do nothing about it except express it.

Perhaps the pain is best conveyed in
Stop coming into my thoughts,
Oh! I don't need you anymore.
Now I have started to move on with life,
Go away, I don't cry for you anymore.

It's obvious that the pain is still present but when nothing works, we try to live in denial. I remember reading somewhere that the more you try to convince yourself that something is NOT present, greater are the chances that it IS indeed present.

I did mention before that I hate the titlenot because I truly hate it but because I disagree with it. I cannot bear to hear that these words are being wastedthat's because like you I write too and I write for the same reason. I can relate to the line -

Writing was my passion, but you made it my life,

This song is so full of feeling that I'd hate to write anything that is 'not-positive' here. But since you do not mind suggestions, I wish to add a few things. In some parts of the Acrostic, the beginning of the line seems forced, obviously to keep up with the pattern:
1. Endlessly I have realized
2. Gnarled I will feel to write again
These are the bits that made me realize that this is an Acrostic. Else I wouldn't have noticed that since the flow is otherwise so smooth.
I'm unable to think of any words right now that could be substituted here. I'm sure you'll come up with something great.

Well done. You've touched the very core of me with your words. All over again.
Thank you for a brilliant write.
