In The Rain

In The Rain

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Rain is so romantic

"

When I see your face in the rain

it is more mesmerizing then

a rose covered in morning dew

with your natural beauty

making nature green with envy.

When I kiss your lips in the rain

they become the juices of life

that I savor on my tongue

just like a fine red wine

shared by soul connecting candlelight.

When our bodies meet in the rain

yours becomes a graceful waterfall

that surronds me with its passionate flow

and consumes every crevice of my body

with its sensual flow and bubbling desire.

When we make love in the rain

you become my erotic ocean

that sweeps me away

in your current of ecstasy

to my own fantasy island.

And Like the rain you are a miracle from heaven

bringing new life to my lonely planet.

And Like the rain you are a miracle from heaven
bringing new life to my lonely planet.

Very sensual, romantic write. There is something about the rain and water in general that can be so exotic and passionate. But beyond that, rain being the metaphor for love and passion as two spirits and bodies connect, washing away the loneliness..... is penned beautifully

.. as always

Beautiful, Dale. So true, I love the rain. I'd love it more if there was thunder and lightning, but still. Very sensual, romantic piece.

Beautifully penned. Nicely done.

Romantic indeed! I loved the "liquidy" flow of this...how you referred to her as water on all stanzas...great, tender piece, Dale :)

Tenderness pass from your lips
Whispers collect at the foot of the bed
Gentle rain falls from the heavens
In your eyes I see glimpses of paradise

Hold me my love as we slip away
Into the forever that await you and I
Silently we give way to passion
We can always blame it on the rain

Dale, you know how I feel about the rain and this was just wonderful. :)

I agree, rain is supremely romantic, partly because of it's calming effect.

And Like the rain you are a miracle from heaven

bringing new life to my lonely planet.... Very, very nice. Smiles ...

Rain is such a sensual, natural thing in and of itself and you've definitely proven that point over and over again in this poem. The last line of the first stanza made me chuckle with the nature green with envy. Nice write.

Rain is cleansing and breathes new life into being. Rain is a gift from the gods - pure, sweet and luxurious. You connect all of these elements into a romantic desire and passion....love rains down.

Lovely, Cowboy, just lovely.

Hey Dale, I wish I could see the rain like this, I dislike the rain, to me it is depressing, but you make it sound delicious in this write, I like the fantasy land part the best.
