two alones

two alones

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

two alones

fall into the starving
bodies touch the diminishing air

we cough into each other's dimension
die kissing the devil
as he laughs watching lovers
expose

to the rain
lust for the drops
quench their hunger
they would eat storms

to be sated
two alones
starving

is a pandemic of lust
out of control

let's jump
we can attach on the way down
he's laughing
we're loving

god, the end is beautiful.

Pouncing breezes of love echoing oneness amidst the pandemic. Nicely done reading something unique but must say flooded with lots of thoughts. Great write. All is well if it ends well may be possible I may feel the same way when I get in such situation. Nicely penned poem.

Death can wait but lovers cannot. Some things are just so worth the risk!

This poem has a drive the drives uphill as it's read down. The title is interestingly put. Every line is powerful and meaningful and full of feeling.

"let's jump
we can attach on the way down
he's laughing
we're loving" - this stanza was my favorite.

we joked recently about the number of pandemic babies that will be born before its had it way and departs into the rows of files and records, everything has a beginning and an end, even if it ends with no more hosts & dies out from exposure. Are these new souls food for fodder, I don't thinks so, humans are damn near indestructible, every new version carries its own inner defense , the human body it adapts just like every disease or form of life, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, isn't that fascinating?

yes, each version with its own inner defense...even if we have no outer.

At our age, ya gotta admit, it's kinda silly to pass up an opportunity for love & passion. We acted out near-suicidal in our youth, throwing ourselves at ill-advised conjunctions, never fearing the smash-up that could follow. It's only logical that you'd compare covid to this (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Gay abandon writ in a flowing defiant cascade of brilliance Jacob. So many novel lines of unique metaphor!

If your time is up I can't imagine a better way to bail out :) This is so funny Jacob. A pandemic of lust Ha ha. Reminds me of that song, if you were the only boy in the world, and I was the only girl, or it might be vice versa. I can imagine you chuckling as you penned this.
