"she left"

"she left"

A Chapter by fhamie

she decided to leave...
not for good...
wanting to find peace in her heart
she's been wounded
by people around them
and drowned with so much frustrations.

all the pains she can't bear
feeling low and betrayed
had to go miles away
to find some strength and be brave.

why their love seems to fade away
oh no! she had to find a way
to go back home and stay
and show those people
that their love cannot be wash away.

I love the sequence of the poems. It's like I'm following your relationship. This piece is written well and flows nicely.

A story - a series of poems - a chapbook - a thread of love from meeting to parting... I wasn't sure what to expect when I said to myself: self, why don't you go ahead and read her story (I usually don't get into stories much). You're right to break the poems apart the way you have - each is a different phase of the relationship, deserving its own space. Lots of emotion in these short verses, very little else in the way of descriptions, imagery. That's OK, these poems are about being absorbed by the one being loved - excluding all else. What I don't know now is: is the story over? Is there more? How does the reader know? Good qriting so far - keep at it.

The sequence of short poems works well as a pathway of love from the first rush of excitement and romance to the final disappointment and struggle... The variety of verse forms is OK I think and reflects a variety of moods and situations. A kind of lover's progress... sad... :-(

Nicely constructed and eloquent in its emotional struggle

Wow...This work of yours is truly astonishing.
I think that it might be one of your best poems yet...But how would I know?!
I guess I'll have to read some more of your work.
Can't wait to start!
