A Poem by flickering candle

I didn’t miss you

I missed the feeling of being wanted

I missed looking into warm brown eyes that were looking back at me

I missed knowing someone elses body ached for mine

I missed the feeeling of knowing the space between us tortured you too

i missed the hope that one day my heart could unite with another

i missed the feeling of falling, the feeling of letting go and becoming

mesmerized by every move you made and the way the moon shone on your

skin

I missed having the privilege of choosing when I wanted to be alone

I missed being able to say that i had a chance at romance

and now i realize

I never missed you

I missed the feeling
