~ Moonrise, Moonset ~

~ Moonrise, Moonset ~

A Poem by Frieda P

I sigh

in light

 of the moon,

hung so low

     unfolding

 early morns

of the skies'

        soothing

iridescent pinks

   in sea blue depths

sun reflecting

     off its face

enraptur'd

thoughts again,

as twilight

    seeks

a brilliant

finale in

  showy illumination

taking a bow

dipping in its

   amethyst glow

reminding me

  of twinklin'

 diamond glints

   in your

  come hither eyes

   & the warmth

       of your touch ~

 hopelessly

   unfurl'd

    in lit

    shadows

I have wanted to comment on this heart filled poem, but honestly didn't think I could say anything that would do justice to your artististic efforts. I have come back to it, actually it has drawn me back many times now, it's like it owns me or something, HA. I know, strange huh! I think of these lines often: reminding me
of twinklin'
diamond glints
in your
come hither eyes
& the warmth
of your touch ~
And I think about the colors of early morning and twilight, of the way it's a time for walks and holding hands and telling all the secrets that make us who we are... it's a time for risking everything..... Frieda, it's just simply beautiful.

Grazie mille Rita!
Sigh... I'm in heaven. I have died and gone to heaven. Sitting on cloud 9 with this beautiful poem running through my head, over and over again, like a never-ending story. This is so romantic. I loved every single line, every image - it was perfect.

Ohhhh you got me shaken in my boots… wait that was just an earthquake.
I like the way you personify the moonrise and the moonset alike to how we ourselves bow to one another, then proceed onwards to connect it further by associating it with a person, or perhaps rather just the looming inspiration coming as a result of the beauty in both rise and set. Well portrayed, Frieda, keep it up!

your poem pulled all kinds of memopics (ooo i coined a phrase i think) from my banks .. another romantic gentle inferno ... what delight ... going back to read again now ... also more great music ... have you listened to Laura Nyro (passed away in'97) Norah reminds me so much of her ... such great music from both ..

Oooh I like 'memopics'...now you need to pen that one E...thanks so much, yes I enjoy them both...
Such beauty you've captured in these moonbeams. I am enamored by your finale:

hopelessly
unfurl'd
in lit
shadows

This is a breathy yet breathless piece of poetry.
