~ Moonrise, Moonset ~

~ Moonrise, Moonset ~

A Poem by Frieda P

I sigh

in light

 of the moon,

hung so low

     unfolding

 early morns

of the skies'

        soothing

iridescent pinks

   in sea blue depths

sun reflecting

     off its face

enraptur'd

thoughts again,

as twilight

    seeks

a brilliant

finale in

  showy illumination

taking a bow

dipping in its

   amethyst glow

reminding me

  of twinklin'

 diamond glints

   in your

  come hither eyes

   & the warmth

       of your touch ~

 hopelessly

   unfurl'd

    in lit

    shadows

I have wanted to comment on this heart filled poem, but honestly didn't think I could say anything that would do justice to your artististic efforts. I have come back to it, actually it has drawn me back many times now, it's like it owns me or something, HA. I know, strange huh! I think of these lines often: reminding me
of twinklin'
diamond glints
in your
come hither eyes
& the warmth
of your touch ~
And I think about the colors of early morning and twilight, of the way it's a time for walks and holding hands and telling all the secrets that make us who we are... it's a time for risking everything..... Frieda, it's just simply beautiful.

Thanks for reading and your sweet response. :-)
The form of this piece fits the mood and the poem perfectly, a lovely write. I am puzzled by skies' - and also by its' -- but maybe you wanted them that way I would have thought sky's and its -- I know, I know, forgive my ocd.

I don't know, skies' just sounded better to me, and don't ask...ha, thanks.
Seems we've been doing similar activities watching the afterglow and moon rising ...it was full a couple nights ago, big gold at first then brightest silver nearer its zenith... There is a calming quality to this write, almost as if snuggling up close to a lover, sharing a blanket ...for Shakespeare in the park performances from on high... Lovely piece... Kudos.

Still absolutely one of the best pen hands I've had the pleasure of experiencing. That was a true beauty.

You humble me with your kind words Travis, thanks muchly my friend.
Beauty unfurls as a tiny bud clinging to a thin stem, swaying as a breeze softly weaves its way through the weathered white pickets of the vine laced garden fence. Throughout the warm spring day little by little these delicate silken petals open, slowly, silently until a gorgeous fragrant bloom stands amidst the wondrous landscape of nature smiling before a bright magical moon.

My sweet friend...that is how your poem tonight touched me. I am completely enchanted by this offering. I can not even believe I once again am saying this...but this amazing collection of thoughts and words is not only a perfect love but one of your very best. I am totally and completely in love with this poem.

Thanks for such a glowing review, as always I'm dancing to your words.
I usually do my best thinking early in the morning. I enjoy just stepping out onto our porch, feeling the breeze, and taking in the world around me, and your poem brought me back to those wonderful moments. Wonderful job!
