Bid good morning to crazy...

Bid good morning to crazy...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_ "and ask, why not?"_

"
I bid good morning to crazy every day
kiss the ground it walks on,
how else does one deal with insane complicity,
problems we ourselves have created at detestation's toll
hateful crimes of brother against brother,
children starving, wars waging in the name of religion
men dying and women crying in fear of invasion
terrorism, the proliferation of nuclear warheads
our planet dying, and climate changes
homelessness & few graciously extending a hand
         welfare with little assistance,
               spread of infectious disease
yet, more telling is written in apathy
the way in which indifference of power yields
not for the good of the people,
but in profit of its own merit's enterprise
we walk a fine line when we venture
to close our eyes to life's atrocities
without standing united for mankind's prosperity
let us glean motivation in peaceful aspirations unfurling,
in those moments,  hope still flutters
           in perpetual benediction's grace

Am I crazy to believe, you bet,
   apparently the world could use
a bit more insanity as such...

    "and ask, why not?"

Are you holding a sign in front of the White House...as you put this into action...seems a political out cry in the scheme of things in this write...but I liked the message in the lines...and I do agree with your font this time around...good day...Frieda...smiles...

I love the opening, which I expected to be the beginning of a fun & playful poem. But then your message quickly turns quite serious & not even close to feeling like "crazy" . . . I started to wonder how the "crazy" aspect fit in . . . then at the end, you put it all together & it makes resounding sense. The best part of your message is the way you list the worldly woes in specific detail . . . one's eyes kinda glaze over reading this long sad list, but still, it also conjures up many other instances not even listed, as well. Kind of like a "flooding" effect, there are so many senseless tragedies these days. Thank you for taking a moment to address how we're all feeling about this & offering a glimmer of hopeful craziness.

(ooops! I see I've already reviewed this!)
A message of truth and relevance in our modern crazy world and crazy times we live in. Insanity and greed are rampant where man does not value life and goodness anymore. I hope we can go back to the good ole days with simple lives and purity...:)...................

Indeed, it is so, but it has always been so...

Very tightly written message starting with crazy & going on thru many stages of insanity, then when we loop back around to conclude with crazy, it seems damn sane to me. What happened to the days when ordinary people could fight against the machine & actually prevail? I'm afraid most of us are crushed in apathy from the sheer magnitude of the issues. I'm glad I never had kids becuz I'm quite ashamed of the mess we're handing the younger generations. Your poem is so well-stated, thanks for reminding us to still care . . .

Though provoking I must say...crazy....goodbye....nah I like it too much :)

Nicely put together Frieda and I felt a little frustration in this one.

ahhh yes all of that, what you said up there in those lines above ... and ... evolution shall still continue to unfold ... and life shall continue to flow on ...

crazy is as crazy does right ?

i felt myself get consumed by your mentionings a while back ... then I selfishly remembered to breathe and remember it is all just a twinkle in time compared to eternity itself ...

nice to see ya chick and sending oh so much love xx

half full to half empty I guess that's the balance of a perfect solution you have drizzled down in reappearing inklings of hope in this penned up to release piece...good inspiration
