Poem 4. Miracle

Poem 4. Miracle

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Miracle happens every moment. We just have to accept that not all blessings come as big ones...Appreciation and contentment are the keys.

"

Miracle...
Look at the tears rolling down my cheeks
These eyes were like deep wells
This body is likely to fall down..
with hatred
for those who left me alone in this corner
for those who promised eternity but stayed for sometime
then left without saying goodbye.

Miracle...
Look at these hands full of dirt
My veins were extended and bulging
Evidences of my hard work
For those whom I dedicate my life but left me with this aching heart...
with regret
for the times spent for them and not for myself
for the water I didn't drink just to treat their thirst.

Miracle...
I always look for you anywhere
Praying that you would cure this life's infirmity
Longing for what the world could not offer
Blinded by the dreams that are higher than what I think
Escaped like a robber of my own delight
Any cause of joy was taken for granted
While every little pain was counted.

Miracle...
What kind of fool I am
for not realizing the stroke of luck is here?
What kind of blind I am
for not seeing the godsend in every little thing at hand?
I wish another face of you could explain better
that contentment is the needed answer
or appreciation to the other side of this life.

Miracle...
Every moment, you are there
I just have to open my heart
to let me see you on my hands.
Everything I own means you are there
I just have to hear my mind's little justification.
Please go with me now so that I could be satisfied
Please hold me tight so that I could appreciate this life.

a great wisdom shines in this write Kabayan. Contentment for me is the hardest to find for we humans strive for more, we can't hardly be satisfied in simple things. For me we we learned to appreciate the simpliest things then contentment is not that far away... Like i said to myself: Life is never meant to be understood but its meant to be learned to be able to understand its profound ways. Greatly expressed.

Thanks, Kabayan!
A powerful and positive poem of love. Life allowed us to know many things. We must open door to friendship and be kind. I like the emotion and the desire of the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

This is very dhaye, you have captured where so many are lost. The source of so many who miss so much by not being aware, of not appreciating all that they have and are creating. They are lost in their regret, only seeing the injustices, only feeling the pains, lost in the feeling sorry for themselves. When we rise above and become aware of all our blessings, all our creations, all the little miracles life is so much more friendly. We become who we were meant to be, instead of living a life that should not have been. A very insightful poem, it carries a beautiful message. thank you.
