Tumbling fall

Tumbling fall

A Poem by moog-drika

Golden vista ignites

and dims the murmur of heat.

The breeze, punctuated by the clash, drapes a rhapsody,

to swim around the autumn.

Smearing the show with cozy serendipity,

its silhouette gives them a pungent look.

Brisk luster looks pretty calm,

but subtly, impatient.

oh that fall luster...this poem reminds me so much of Vermont in October...
it was breathtaking...when we lived in the Bronx, we went there every year ...such beauty.

I could not describe it with any of the ferocity that you show here with your imagery.

I wanted actually first to write review on constructive criticism but you point me here so here I am. I like really title tumbling fall it's very good invitation cause it's make wonder what is really mean. This is like symphonic suite. Painted emotions at few shapes of personal emotions. It's give me calm feeling like I am walking in wet leaves and meet some of my friend . It's vibrating with nature and empathy. That last line can bring doubt about calmness but I think it's just taming of wild horse at wild colors of autumn leaves. Sorry if my review was,too abstractive. I enjoyed this piece.

I like the idea of the scene you set being impatient for change and eagerly awaiting renewal, yet bravely hanging on, like they know their future is to fall, be ran through and kicked by kids, and if it rains, to end up looking like soggy cornflakes... Which is the saddest sight to start a day.
Weirdly, I gave up cornflakes because they remind me of soggy leaves. Go figure 😀

You're very welcome.
I only eat crunchy nut cornflakes now, they never go soggy 😀

Well, I pour smaller amount of cornflakes and eat and repeat. That helps me avoid sogginess haha :D

I never thought of that. Duh! 😁
Ah, what a welcome reprieve from the oncoming summer. Autumn is my favorite time of year and I am happy to get lost in the mood of it at any time of year. You imbue it with its essential spirit here. That space between life and death where everything is shifting and brilliant. The settling out of the summer heat and activity and the welcoming of that slower coziness.

I really enjoy the sort of slow flutter out of your final couplet. The sense of something pending and dynamic-- giving way to something that cannot wait for its time to reign. Brisk luster is a beautiful word combination. A wonderful to read this summer Saturday morning.

Thank you so much Kym! So glad you like it
Your words paint autumn so vividly. There is nothing subtle in the heated imagery, fire splashed that I see before me. Beautiful work. So much intensity in a short poem. Well done moog-drika.
