Sexting and Cyber bullies

Sexting and Cyber bullies

A Poem by Alexis L. Thompson

Pictures of her
sent to a boy.
she believed it was love
but it lead to no joy.

He shared with his friends
The photos at school.
Soon they were viral.
She felt like a fool.

She checks her facebook
just to find smut.
What used to be friends
now call her a s**t.

She goes to her room
and cries herself dry.
She has this feeling
of wanting to die.

She drowns herself
with a bottle of pills.
she is sad, she is hurt.
In her lungs water fills.

Sexting is wrong.
cyberbullying too.
Watch what you post.
Watch what you do.

this is something that way too many young teenagers are facing!

this poem should be shared on every website in every teen magazine!!

but it isn't always the guy whos the dick and sending them around..my ex best friend...yes the same one who i wrote my poems about... :/ she was and is the biggest guy in the fact that she does this to guys!! she gets them to send her photos of whats in their pants then shows everyone and they all start mocking the guys on size! i think she deserves a smack on the face so should every guy or girl who has ever done such a thing!!!!!!!! what gives them the right to expose someone elses privacy??

With a rampant fad of trying to get someones' attention with similar actions, younger generations should learn the consequences. And with the ones who actually do it, the victim will always feel a horrid shame at some point. The bully will face the consequences, but there will always be some nutjob trying to defend their actions. Sad scenario.

This is a very very true poem and it has a lot of meaning. This should be shown to everyone, to show that it is wrong.
Amazingly a few days ago, the sexing craze started at my school. I am showing this to all my friends, to show that this is not right.
An AMAZING write! Loved it:)

This is an amazing poem. So much truth and really powerful. I hate instances like this, so it actually made me tear up. Great job with this

there are a lot of my friends i have who are subject to that and don't do anything about it and if people lived by that last line this would be a much better place

Oh this poem is perfect! It says the horrible truth about the things that common teenagers and anyone really has to go through when dealing with sexting and the things it causes when you cyber bully others. So powerful!

This is so f*****g true. So well done. There have been so many incidences of cyber bullying and sexting. many of which ruin the victim (or victims')'s lives forever. This is all very well captured in this poem. You said this plain and clear. Well done. I'm definitely favoriting this.

You brought a very valid poin to the table and I really think people will respect this piece. This is a very large problem in the school setting today. I feel like you should give this to teen magazine and have this posted. If you don't mind I intend on sharing this to Facebook. Though I have seen the sexting story go both ways, my ex best friend sent her ex boyfriends pictures around when he broke up with her. Though both parties are at fault and you take notice to that with the last two lines. "watch what you post, watch what you do" No one should send pictures but if they do then it is no ones obligation to show them off. Your rhyme scheme brought power to this already overpowering message. Nice write, I loved it.
