Mystery That Is Me

Mystery That Is Me

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Laughter flows

when tears should stream

As sarcastic notations

Grip you tight

Vocal volume rises

When excitement

Heightens

And anger flourishes

When the heart is torn

Butt is round like a D

Definitely not a size three

Hips are curvy

But at least these breast

Aren’t a size C

Smile isn’t quite

Pearly white

Too much coffee in the morning

And too much smoking at night

Sometimes nervous chatter

Will fill the room

But other times not

One word will be heard

These are the flaws

Within me

They represent

Journeys in my life

That have been

bittersweet

But

Let me tell you

On the inside

Is a heart of gold

One that will

Cherish you

Until your old

There is a mind

That knows

How to think

And firm loyalty

That doesn’t

Know the definition

Of sink.

Devotion that goes

Beyond borders

And time

Illogical logic

That hold you

Sublime

I am never

Going to be perfect

And that is fine with me

But take a deeper look

At the mystery that is me.

I believe every woman is special. Each with each own beauty. I believe that is a good thing. Would be a boring world if we were all the same.

Thank you for the excellent poem.

A cherished mystery that is golden! Way to write it out, you are who you are, beauty amongst the thorns. I love it.

LOL.. It's so important to be introspective, especially with curvy hips that might lead you to think only externally. You must be beautiful on the inside too, yet we knew that already in your poetry. The mystery that is you is the secret in how you do all those read requests, and now it's revealed in the the 8th stanza. It's true that you will never be perfect, but you are close, sorry but 100 is the best I can give you. :)

what a great way to show your soul,
take me as I am or leave me alone,I love the volume and your even tone,
no my heart is not made of stone,
you didn't act like Royalty, when you just explained your Loyalty,
you didn't judge or look down you nose, some do but thats how it goes,
you didn't want for any glory, you simply told your lonely story...
don't judge a book by it's cover,if you do find another lover

@R.G. I many times still see myself as the fat girl I use to be. It has taken many years to get in a better mindset. I use to be horribly insecure but I had a great man in my life once that taught me being heavy was beautiful and that I was a great person. My journey with feeling beautiful continued from that point and my self esteem has gotten stronger but oh I still have those moments when I see myself at over 200 lbs. Now I eat healthy because that is what I want. I eat organic food because I want to not what everyone else wants me to do. Life is an adventure so now I am battling a deeper demon called anxiety. I am doing pretty good with it too.

Poetic Beauty all around.
This made my heart smile.
Love the 'is what it is'
and 'am what I am"
that permeates every
word.
All I could see is beautiful honesty
and a soul comfortable in it's own temple.

guess it strikes me so deeply because
I wish I was more like this.

cheers!
