Very moving
Hunger seems to be all around us where ever we live and travell
Old people here
Do they spend money on eating or Heating
They live in cold houses temperatures below freezing wearing hats, coats and gloves.
Food from the "Food Bank"
Highly powerful and captivating. Alerting the reader with what the poor go through everyday just to get food is an art itself. Albeit , there are a few grammatical errors. Nonetheless , job well done and vision well executed.
Ignoring grammar problems, my only advice is to use the word "the" less often. Now, this poem is good. I can feel how your heart was breaking for the hungry people of the world. I only wish you had written a bit more

It is a sonnet, therefore consists of 14 lines. Thank you for your appreciation!
Exceptionally well written. Very strong message. We should not only read and review here, but definitely try to bring any difference in such people's lives. Wonderful poem
Oh my, very moving. This reminds me of riding on a train; often if we're fortunate enough, we're gazing outside the window and our focus is of one side of the tracks. The side where there is mediocrity, opportunity and privilege. However, many of us aren't fortunate to see the other side. If you turn your head, you'll see all of the casualties, gray areas and hard knocks. We can't stare in both directions simultaneously, though we know another side is over our shoulder. This was touching. Great read.
A very thoughtful insight on a very real problem. We in the West have a tendency to forget how fortunate we are and how much harder plain survival can be in other, less fortunate, parts of the world. Hunger is a universal problem and it could so easily be solved with careful organization at the world level if the conditions were right. Unfortunately human nature and inertia always seem to mitigate against global solutions. For example, the hijacking of aid shipments in Africa by local warlords for personal gain. A very sad state of affairs.

If I was caught stealing, my parents came up with an inhuman punishment where I could have the delicious food in my mouth but I couldn’t swallow.

I guess so, but solving world hunger isn't going to help much because of how cruel people can be.
