(We pick up where we left on in Malory’s office, Santino and Maria are both shocked)

 

Maria

 Malory no, please why would you do this?

 

Malory

You and my brother have been messing around with each other for years, and now you want to make it official by moving me out of the way so you two can run the company

 

Santino

Estas loca? Malory you have no idea what you’re talking about!

 

Malory

Well either way (she hands the folder to Santino) my decision is final. Maria Elizabeth de la Paz, you’re fired from Valenova Industries

 

(Maria looks very hurt and Santino is very upset, we then cut to Allye’s classroom and Emilio just walked in)

 

Emilio

What’s going on? Juan told me I needed to get down here immediately but wouldn’t tell me what’s going on.

 

Patricia

Hello Mr. Esperanza, please sit down

 

(Emilio sits next to Sarai and Allye)

 

Patricia

Now Allye has something to show you and I hope that you don’t get upset, go ahead Allye

 

(Allye pulls up her sleeves to show the cuts and immediately Emilio grabs her wrists)

 

Emilio

No sweetheart, no no no!

 

Allye

I miss mommy Dad. I wanna be with her.

 

(Emilio looks up and sees the tears in her eyes)

 

(Fade out)

 

Scene 2

(Juan and Zahar are backstage with Raquel)

 

 

Zahar

You’re bluffing. You wouldn’t dare tell the world about how I got those shares because it would make Jose look weak

 

Juan

You underestimate me if you think I won’t throw that piece of crap under the bus

 

Zahar

You would pull this out into the open and risk losing clients and shareholders?

 

Raquel

Juan this isn’t a very good idea, please don’t do this to her

 

Juan

Nobody asked you Raquel

 

Raquel

Well I’m saying it! Think of the collateral damage that could be done with this press conference if you do what you’re thinking

 

(Juan looks at her then Zahar, we cut to the classroom and by the door Taylor walks in)

 

Taylor

I’m sorry did I interrupt something?

 

Allye

No, just some personal issues that’s all.

 

Taylor

Allye are you ok?

 

Emilio

I-I-I need a minute.

 

(Emilio walks out and Sarai and Patricia run after him. Taylor looks down at Allye’s wrists and sees the cuts)

 

Taylor

Allye are those what I think they are?

 

Allye

Wow you’re so observant, did your trophy wife mother teach you to look out for suicidal freaks?

 

Taylor

I don’t appreciate this attitude!

 

Allye

I’m sorry, I’m not really feeling good right now

 

Taylor

It’s ok, why didn’t you tell me you were doing this?

 

(Allye just shrugs and puts her hands to her face and Taylor hugs her)

 

(Fade out)

Scene 3

(The press are getting together and Juan and Zahar come out)

 

Juan

Good afternoon. Now as I can see many of you have no idea what the hell is going on here now. (few laughs from the crowd) Well I know that for years, it has seemed that my mother, Sarai Esperanza, and her former assistant Zahar Rodriguez have been at war in the business world. But, I can tell you now that Zahar has now become the new Head of Consumer Relations and is now a major part of Esperanza Enterprises, so without further ado, Zahar Rodriguez

 

(the crowd claps while pictures are taken as Zahar and Juan shake hands)

 

Zahar

Thank you very much Juan, so I guess we can get straight to the questions?

 

(several hands go up and Zahar picks one)

 

Reporter 1

Since you’re now working with both Esperanza Enterprises and Sinai Industries will there be a merger?

 

(Zahar looks back to Juan and he just shrugs, we cut to a separate classroom and Emilio walks in with Sarai and Patricia right after him)

 

Emilio

No. No no no there is no way she’s suicidal!

 

Sarai

Mijo you saw that just as clear as I did. She needs help

 

Patricia

It’s never easy to see that your child is going through something as horrible as this, but we need to help her through this.

 

Emilio

How?! How am I gonna help my daughter get through something that I’m having the exact same feelings for?!

 

(Fade out)

 

Scene 4

(We’re back in the classroom with Emilio, Sarai, and Patricia)

 

Sarai

Emilio! You’re telling me that you are considering killing yourself and leaving behind your daughter?

 

Emilio

Vanessa was our world Mother, and now that we both lost her there’s nothing I can do to help her.

 

Allye

Daddy?

 

(Everyone turns around and sees Allye walk in with Taylor behind her)

 

Allye

Daddy, I’m not ready to die yet. I wanna stay here with you and grandma and everyone

 

Emilio

(rushes over to her and hugs her) I’m not ready to leave either mija, I’m sorry I even thought that.

 

(Sarai turns around to Taylor)

 

Sarai

Thank you very much for helping Allye

 

Taylor

No problem Mrs. Esperanza.

 

Sarai

I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name?

 

Taylor

Taylor Garner, my father is the Head of Pediatrics over at St. Thomas.

 

Sarai

That’s where I recognize you, so is he your stepfather?

 

Taylor

No ma’am he’s my adopted father, I have no idea who my birth parents are.

 

Sarai

Lo siento, well I need to be leaving, tell Allye I’ll be dropping by later on tonight

 

Taylor

Yes ma’am oh and very nice to meet you

 

Sarai

Nice to meet you too

 

(Sarai leaves the classroom and pulls out her cellphone and makes a call)

 

 

Sarai

Hello Joseph, yes its Sarai. I’m doing fine thank you, listen I need your help on something, how good are you on finding out about someone’s past? I think I found something I need you to check something out on Zahar. Yes I know I’ve asked you this before but this is important. I think I may have found her daughter?

 

(Fade out)
