Song of the Night

Song of the Night

A Chapter by Norma M Sutton

Song of the night beckons me
Soft and quiet the pathway shows
Tender light ebbs and flows
Surrendering I go

Lights arise from the mist
Hovering their presence abounds
Eerie light they sow
Night's rainbow

Around me I hear them touch down
Gentle crackles all around
Hidden hallows surround
No longer lost but found

Over the ridges and all around
A glowing army they march
Tiny lights held high above
Glowing insects looking for love

Far and wide they travel
Soft and gentle into the night
Shining their glittering light
Illuminating the night

Good, well thought through poem, liked especially the line Gentle crackles..., you have a good feeling for nature and can transport it into good literature.Good work.

Very nicely-done, with rich, vivid descriptions that caress the senses.

Lovely description that flows nicely.....I miss those illuminating creatures, nature's party lights.
