Darkness Embraced

We walk the streets

Of hunger and pain

We feel no loss

For it’s all in vain

No one smiles

And no one cares

For a town where life is a hectic wreck

For everything is lost

And even more is torn

Where innocence is unknown

And love is a disaster

Where the wind never blows

And the water is liquor

Everyone is drunk

In the darkness of the land

Where eyes of a cat

Can only see sand

This is the place where we all will land

In the land

Where darkness is embraced

With a dark crimson hand.

i agree with Faye. the slight profanity in this kinda took away from the overall flow, and the third line seemed a bit awkward ot me. i dunno why, but it was a bit...harder to understand how this particular line flowed with the rest of the piece.

Personly, I think the swear word took the elegance away, but mayby thats just me.

This is really good. You use very descriptive words that gives the poem more emotions.
" Where darkness is embraced with a dark crimson hand." this line is the best...so intense and powerful. Very good.

very good poem, but there is a small world out there that may change the foundation of your life you don't have to take my word for it but you may get lucky to write about something good to see upon the horizon of the sunlight fades into dark shallow times of guilt have a good day maybe one day you shall have good friends and you will be a bit better off, ps not very good at talking sry If I got off topic.

I love this poem. It's very dark and very...well, h'm...fantastic? Is that a good enough word? Either way, I love this poem. It's very nicely written and you can feel the emotion coming off of it in waves. :)
