Dancing Cranes

Dancing Cranes

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Autumn’s moon,
is brightly arrayed.
The mounted jewel,
crests its ring.
As dancing cranes,
beneath it sing.
And the garden’s blooms,
sway with the breeze.

This was beautiful, an enchanting picture of a moonlit night...serene and comforting. Really nicely done Cherrie. Nice to see you again.

:) Very much
a poem with stunning imagery. I can see the moon like a jewel with a ring around it ,while cranes are dancing to the melodies of the cosmos, and the garden's blooms shine from the moon's autumn light.
Your words are lovely!

Lovely imagery in this piece Cherrie...is imagery spelled correctingly? It looks wrong. I'll start again.
Lovely imaginationary in this one Cherrie, suggesting an amazingly beautiful beginning to the day.
Being from a shipbuilding town, the only cranes I ever saw there were big hundred foot high blue monstrosities, now long dormant, aside from being places you can bungie jump from now... (Google Titan crane) and not the feathered variety.
Yours sound far nicer to wake up to than a passing ships foghorn though 😊

Glad I stopped by Cherrie. This is an absolute gem of a poem. Imagery is so finely tuned, like listening to a pristine radio broadcast from a distant shore, the dark side of the moon. So simply said, but deep as the human mind might care to dive

the moon can be so alluring .. in any stage .. of it's "ring" .. i was in SD visiting and driving back to the Ozarks (i started at 1AM) i watched her in a big yellow crescent rise up and disappear .. i picture your moon and dancing cranes ... artists paint with their paints and brushes .. your poem with words .. the swaying reminds me of cranes doing their intricate mating dances .. they will be visiting Nebraska in Oct. .. by the millions .. have always wanted to get myself there to see ... just lazy i suppose :) enjoyed the read Cherrie! thanks for sharing

that's true ... thank you for safe travels wishing .. it worked as I am home free and easy :)
Cranes are so cool....when I was young I used to watch the mechanical kind from my NY apartment window...as they would work down below.
Even just thinking of that makes me shiver, since now I am so deathly afraid of heights.
But the Cranes mentioned here, the live kind...are so beautiful, especially dancing below a full moon in autumn.
nice to read you again, Cherrie.
