Quintessence

Quintessence

A Poem by Dani California

I want to see you,

Know you,

Gaze into your eyes,

See beyond

Your protective disguise.

I want to feel you,

Touch you,

Caress your face,

Safe within

Your tender embrace.

I want to kiss you,

Taste you,

Trace your lips,

With gentle

Loving fingertips.

I want to love you,

Breathe you,

Inhale your essence,

Remaining forever

Passionate quintessence.

Well, you certainly are not one to judge a book by it's cover! As your poems proceeds you see the beauty whithin. This is writtten with such a loving tenderness and subtlity emerging into sensuality that the flow is flawless and ultimately passionate!

very nicely done Dani! You capture the passion of love, yet has a dreamlike quality. My favorite line: see beyond your protective disguise, because we all do at least a bit of that, don't we?
The words fit the pic so nicely too!

Odd . . . but I have an original of this painting hanging in my family room . . .

The picture you paint with your words matches the feelings I embrace while I gaze at its beauty.

Picture perfect.

Passionate quintessence . . . .

God, this is just gorgeous! I felt every single word. Who doesn't want
to hear these words from someones lips:). There is love, passion and tenderness
here. Wonderful job, and going into my favorites:). AD

hmm what a beautiful ending "Inhale your essence, / Remaining forever / Passionate quintessence. " -------this is soo original! I love those lines! Whole poem is like a tender rose it is envoling its petals when I read it down....thisi ntensive poem is both personal and philosophical. you revisit old feelings... and you recall moments of pleasure and spiritual connection with your beloved.... Absolutely amazing and sweet innocent creation of poetry!

This moves me to feel. Your words flow like kisses, your phrases caress like hugs. You always manage somehow to say so much with few words, I suppose it's your skill and artistry.

This takes the reader into your world of passion without feeling like an intruder, more that you're sharing something special.

It's wonderful! Thank you very much for letting me share.
