Quintessence

Quintessence

A Poem by Dani California

I want to see you,

Know you,

Gaze into your eyes,

See beyond

Your protective disguise.

I want to feel you,

Touch you,

Caress your face,

Safe within

Your tender embrace.

I want to kiss you,

Taste you,

Trace your lips,

With gentle

Loving fingertips.

I want to love you,

Breathe you,

Inhale your essence,

Remaining forever

Passionate quintessence.

Well, you certainly are not one to judge a book by it's cover! As your poems proceeds you see the beauty whithin. This is writtten with such a loving tenderness and subtlity emerging into sensuality that the flow is flawless and ultimately passionate!

Perfection in passion my friend. What any of us wouldn't give for the excitment of such passion.
The ultimate of a lifetime dream...beautiful!

Passionate Quintessence. What an ending. I love the way the passion was conveyed as well as the italics, which bring more emotion out of the text. How often the challenge thrills us more than the actual conquering. Top notch work as usual.

I could rave on and on and on about this piece, but it would seem that quite a few other people beat me to that. What I will say is that I love this poem. What more can I say, you've done it again. : )

The flow, the rhyme...perfect, it reminds me of a delicate seabreeze, passing over the water and as the picture suggests, a rapturous lifetime awaits the lucky person you speak of, you know they are out there, this could be your beckoning call to them.

Dani girl, this is lovely and sweet. It truly shows the depth of desire, yet subtle, a whisper. I loved the last stanza, wanting to breathe them, inhale them. Drinking in their scent, having it permeate every fiber of your being. Wow...what a concept. Beautiful, passionate longings. And such a wonderful title. Nice write. :)

Oh, this is wonderful! I love the feeling that this poem gives to me as a reader, so delicate and passionate...this is the kind of romance that I love to read about. Great expression, great imagery...beautifully done!

It's lovely, Dani :) I get two impressions of this. One is the obvious, the desire to be with your soul-mate at long last. Two is the desire to be with God more intimately. And, what I glean from your sweet words is that the two impressions lead to the same outcome, that being with soul-mate and being with God are inseparable. It was a blessing for me to read this poem today. Much love to you....
