Happy All Hallowed Eve everyone!! :) my little contribution.

Ghosts   

sitting in the basement

by herself .........

...........she talks out loud............

 

startled by the sound of the human voice

cutting the darkness

she listens

she is watching CNN to 

make opinions

her words, her thoughts

come back as stones hanging on dust

(like virus)

floating and catching her breath

                      she wasn't thinking

                                        she talked out loud

                                                 

                                                         no one is there.

but ghosts.

I do think they hear us, they listen....
observe...they are there.
I experienced one once...face to face for about 30 seconds....I was too surprised to speak, and she didn't either....but the look in her eye was of someone troubled... I regret that I did not speak.

I love this! actually it feels sad~ really sad! if ghosts are watching what is happening in our world they would cry out and thanks Gods there they are not here anymore, still IF they came to rule the planet I think the world will be in a better place. Ah, the ghosts who join us when we are alone. They all come out to "play" even if they are uninvited. Thing is, they are part of us and always will be. If CNN forms the opinions of the average citizen, we are all in a heck of a lot of trouble! I liked this one, E....different because it has a few story lines intertwining. Lydi**

yes .. in trouble indeed! have you noticed that lately they are interviewing more Conservatives .. and doing it with a modicum of respect? .. no doubt it is because or such poor ratings and an even poorer functioning of their seemingly preferred party and policy ...thanks Lydi ... i appreciate your time and input!

Yes ... that CNN is a horror story for sure. It is hard to think about all the innocents, young and old, who believe what they say.

On the bright side, their audience shrinks everyday. People are waking up to the nightmare. Love it:)

The poem however is a seasonal delight.

interesting how old ghosts make their presence known. a haunting tale. eerie and unsettling. great presentation and flow to a disturbing ending. precisely why i've never liked the basement and why they have lights. very nicely done e. boo! ...:)
