Unfolded

Unfolded

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

"Revisiting the Miasma Theory" compliments of Dirt
Unfolded
budding ........
scallion shapes that pulse
above and throb below

pubescent tendrils worm in a cadence known
only to the uninitiated

a virgin soil

science with nature
male and female

our differences stew and brew

 scallions ... shaped above
......... rooted below .......

watered on TV and in classrooms across our land

sculpting without skill and
devolving into chaotic miasma

my chosen designation is we.

I consider myself a centrist (I was center-left before the whole pronouns scene erupted, and now I am definitely more right-leaning). Every day, we witness a new demand from this crowd, and every day they go out of their way to erase women. The whole situation reminds me of the emperor's new clothes story with the naked emperor prancing about and most of the public pretending they don't see the obvious, lest they be shamed. It's a false civil rights movement where the "rights" that they demand are actually privileges that trample upon the rights of other groups (women and children). It is hilarious how they think science is on their side when it is just some greedy doctors (saying this as a doc myself) validating them for money or from fear of persecution.

Yes, any carbon life can become rancid if there's no sanitary care, self or from secondhand, continued neglect will surely give rise to all kinds of moribund miasmas and who knows just what hideous beings may then rise and spring forth as articulated here in fine, poetic musings, kudus E.

sadly I have not, Tom. She has truly dropped out it seems. :(
We live in a moral decay society these days; a liberal attitude
where good is bad and vice versa and it stinks to high heaven,
a most fowl odor in today's world the unfolding and peeling
away of our value system, confusing and corrupting young
minds; being taught falsehoods and. incorrect and unnatural
ways in which to live..i like the way you wrote this E..telling it like it is

So much food for thought in this write Mr E. I have to say it concerns me no end, the liberal rubbish now in our classrooms. All this business of pronouns and young children being greatly influenced by it. It's everywhere and the Internet ensures it stays in the forefront. Your short poem with its careful wording highlights so many issues now facing us that were unheard of years ago. I am feeling old and thinking that change doesn't necessarily mean that progress has been made. Quite the reverse in fact. Your poem opens up a whole can of worms for lively discussion. Let children be children I say. Sending you greetings and all good wishes from across the pond.

an extremely well-thought, exquisitely rendered poem on youth and love. Loved every syllable of your work Temp. The opening image of the onion as a stand-in for youth is marvelous. As I traveled along through the poem my mind became hungrier and hungrier for the idea being writ large. The awakening of youth-full
awareness to reason and passion, sculpted as you say by media and tradition will in the end, if one is lucky, give way, rise to, a uniting of two.

A clever and thought-provoking write! We live in changing times - and not all for the good! Some old standards are needlessly cast aside, it would seem!

Confusing to some, confusion in those that teach lead to confusion in those that listen. We are physiologically different, although some are confused about this as well. Psychologically we have our differences as well, although some would say no. On the other hand, our old sex roles have been reified and become rigid for no real reason. Individual differences in sexual orientation are natural and do not need to be taught. It is only how we react to those different than us that we need to be taught, but then this applies to much more than sexuality.

I haven't been on the cafe for a while, except to quickly post 2 poems so, missed this one. You could have something equating the Miasma Theory to what is going on with our youth and forced sexual preferences. All that hot air and poor teaching is spilling into the environment, especially in our schools, and causing infectious diseases of the mind! Someone needs to save our youth from the liberal and anti-sexual indoctrination. God made man and woman! No reason to morph our bodies into what they weren't meant to be. I have to agree with Winston though, it's us or them.....or "I". Given the theme of your poem, "we" makes it sound like you are both man and woman in one person. Is that what you meant? I suppose intellectually and emotionally that could be. Overall, Mr. E, I would give this poem a well done, good read, A+ and provocative. It does cause one to think and ponder. So glad to see you writing again. Thank you for sharing. Temp

The rigmarole is something not always graspable and yet we are wading in it everyday. My preferred designation would most probably be W in the 'we' but then again that may change as it is also allowed, or so I am lead to believe. Thanks for sharing. W.

This poem is so amazing and abstract for me that had i not read the comments i would've been left without comprehending it the way you intended.
So now i guess it is about the gender lines being crossed resulting into hazy chaotic confusing gender fluid mess that kids in other countries can never understand and even your kids are being influenced to doubt their inborn natural genders and orientation due to such irrational teachings ahh. Kudos for this great rational poem!!
