Renaissance

Renaissance

A Chapter by Guavaguy

'He must not be a mortal child'
Says the robed figure in white
'A mortal child's face would bear the pangs of hunger'
'He does not belong to the moon'
Says the other, stronger than an ox and a giant, and wiser than saturn,
'He belongs to the sun, which feeds him light',
And the third did not know what to say,
For he could not put the truth into words,
And he stayed silent,
Unable to find that one word he meant to say:
Renaissance,
and was silent for ever after.
