I have dark news to report, Gramps died today.  Many Skeylans and I gathered in his house as he died of old age.  Before he died however, I got to see a Skeylan being born.  Gramps split into two, creating a new Skeylan, just before he died.  The newborn wasn’t that much smaller than an adult  Skeylan, but it still needed to learn the many skills of an adult, like speech.

I asked John how old Gramps was when he died and after telling me how many of their years he was, I converted it in my mind and it only came out as 11.4 Earth years.  I was surprised to learn this was slightly above the average life span of a Skeylan and needless to say, he was just as surprised once I told him how old I was.
