Light Within The Darkness

Light Within The Darkness

A Poem by Matthew Ryan Hardy

Your beauty makes my heart skip a beat,

Whenever I look into your eyes,

My heart pounds against my chest,

Whenever you smile,

I feel like I can’t say a word,

You are the light in my darkness

Pros: Mmm.....I've felt this way. It's wonderful when they're yours, yet tears you to shreds when they aren't, but had been at some point. And usually, even if you're over the person, these feelings don't go away. That's true love. But enough of my reflecting. This is pretty, poetic, and I like it.

Cons: None.

Overall: Short and to the point, not to mention beautiful.

Short, simple and yet sweet. Sometimes the easiest way to explain your love is to make it blunt and straight to the point, the truth. Your words reminded me of the first moment I met my husband... I knew nothing of this strange boy, but the things he made me feel drew me to him and once I saw his smile and I looked into those eyes... I fell head over hills - love at first sight - something rare, but possible. Thank you for sharing this with me... it made me :)

A very beautiful poem of love and thankfulness. A wise person knows when love is near and is thankful. A outstanding poem.

this is so beautiful for being so short. i absolutely love the feeling it gives me, and i think any girl would be lucky to have someone that felt like this about her.

You know what I am learning about critiquing. Is people re going to say what they are going to say but you own it and keep it as what you intended. I think this poem is powerful in it's brevity.

I agree with Brandon.... This is a wonderful start...... Now it needs the rest. I think you cut it off too short and I think it would be better if you elaborated more on this thought... Great job!
