Touch

Touch

A Poem by Robin
"

sudden reminiscence

"
and there you were

a daydream in your delicate palm

I watched your eyes race the sky

and heard your sigh

as you fell to your knees

to the mirror of dark waters

beckoning a rainbow from sullen clouds

my Time machine

of crickets and songbirds

the summer wind , and a million stars

a music box

as the universe spun around us

brilliant and huge

this unknowing , this adventure we called love

between goddess and prince

a violin and bow

stillness

permeating silence

such are the secrets

of touch , and the sky

and the mandala

of her eyes ...

A wonderful exploration of love, relationships, nature and the harmony between them all. I've always struggled when writing about these sorts of things and I admire how you've done it, the delicate yet vivid images...A true joy to read :) thank you and well done..

I can tell why, Steven recommended I read this one. we have very similar styles in terms of rhythm and sound. I love this piece. my one criticism would be that it almost seems too delicate to be so packed with images. Maybe a stronger transition from the present moment of sad reflection in the first 7 lines to the trying to reverse time and make things better of the rest of the poem. The structure doesn't seem to be holding up the sentiment, experiment with form a bit.

but I loved it.

We can't help ourselves sometimes. Leaping from this cliff, shouting to that mountain, giving without knowing we will be given. Lovely write.

I love how the normal in these elementary things make inspiration live through your words pressed so delicately in place of the soul onto the page...amazing piece

surreal and crisp, this evoked a lot of subjective depth to me.

we go to together like a violin and a bow...and make beautiful music together.

this has such startling imagery..it leads the reader to think, simple is coming..and then showers us with such wonderful turns of phrase..

nicely done.
