The Kyrielle is a French form written in Quatrain verses.
Each Quatrain contains a repeated final line or phrase as a refrain.
There is no limit to the number of verses, but three is the required minimum.
Normal rhyme structure is a/a/b/B, c/c/b/B, d/d/b/B, etc; with B being the refrain line.
Alternate structure is a/b/a/B, c/b/c/B, d/b/d/B, etc; with B being the refrain or repeated line. Mine is in iambic meter, composed of eight syllables (4 feet) per line, but line length is author's choice.
Painting: "Lonely" in oils, by Sergei Chepik
If you would like to try this beautifully expressive form and need help, just let me know.
It can be used for any emotion, mood, or topic.
Constructive (well meant) comments and criticism are always welcome! : )

With such an effulgent review as yours, why would I want another? And, that you love anything about my humble poetry, think it's wonderful, and nicely written certainly sets the page warmly aglow.

Days turn to pain I cannot show,
nights into ever-endless streams.
Reaching to find I'm lonely; though,
I’ll hold you Softly ~ in my dreams.
WHAT AN AMAZING START. EXTREMELY TOUCHING, DEEP AND VIRILE.
Where's gone your shelter for my storm,
what of love spent ... in lifetime schemes,
when all turns cold, who'll keep me warm?
THIS IS OUT OF THE WORLD.
I CAN'T EXPRESS IN WORDS, REVIEW WON'T BE ENOUGH TO TELL YOU HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU HAVE WRITTEN
Wow... this is perfect! I love the perfect crisp of rhyming in your poem...

Loneliness is frequently placed on a pedestal or on a cross.. either tribute or retribution for or of the past. Surely as you infer in your finely voiced poem, it's due to feeling unloved, to wanting another, to feeling unlovable in spite of..
Your knowledge has no bounds, Richard, you teach, inspire.. and feel.. the latter making the best teacher. Perhaps.

Your praise comes wrapped in warming ease, familiarity, and often an underlying sense of gentle affection.
You make me feel recognized, understood, revered, and enjoyed.
You gently brim my heart and eyes; thank you ever-so sincerely, Em; it is always my pleasure to write for and share with you … smiles 'n hugs! ⁓ Richard : )

Oh, you mean the 'sin bin'? I know all about that!
I am ever in awe of the beauty you convey in your poetry. Your loneliness spans a world of hurt and yet knowing that all that is left is to hold you softly in my dreams.
