suspended moon

suspended moon

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

memories resurface on moonlit nights

"
a half moon
suspended
on winter clouds.
frozen in time.

the same moon
hovers over you,
half way
around the world.

it's warm there,
beneath your moon,
where the waves roll over
the midnight beach.

do you ever think of us,
making love
under the inclinations
of a suspended moon?

These song lyrics came to mind after I read this piece. This is an old song.

Once we were lovers but somehow things have changed
Now we're just lonely people tryin' to forget each other's names
Now we're just lonely people tryin' to forget each other's names

What came between us? Maybe we were just too young to know
But now and then I feel the same
And sometimes at night I think, I hear you calling my name
Mmm, these dreams, they keep me going these days ...

Though sometimes the relationship is over..sometimes those sweet
forgotten memories still comes back to haunt us ... Sweet pondering and writing KLGoode.

Thank you for reading and reviewing is one.
A suspended in time...frozen in time yet the piece sound like it is in the present. The poem can be read as a number of different ways. I like how it ebbs and flows.

You have no idea how this one touched me. KL, your heart shines like this moon you so beautifully describe in your poem today. Ahhh, this feels so good. Hope to see more of these...feels like love to me.

It was. I loved him once. I thought of him under the moon.
Ugh I htought of making love in the sand, leading to soreness. That gets to show how I'm incapable of senssing and letting go in moments that one should and that is precisely the feeling I get while reading the words in this writing. An invitation to submerge yourself in the arms of the wanted and let it go. Not even geographical limitations seem to be able to stop the feeling.

Suspended rays of moonlight over frolicking bodies.

Hopefully not on sand then.

Thankyou
