just some random afternoon thoughts

Slander -- to make false statements about someone.
Libel -- to write to defame a person's character.

you can't slander a lie or
libel the boogeyman.
he is just a figment of
my imagination,
with whom I lived in
the house of silent accusation,
who slurped and slagged
every false defamation
till I crumbled under their weight.
I still have the papers
he wrote in his own crooked hand,
and I still have the photos
and the holes
in the walls
and the halls
and in my head,
the only things I didn't say
are all the hurts I never said,
you can't slander a lie,
or libel the boogeyman.
he isn't real.

my thoughts...if someone lies about us...it isn't real...so we should be like the bogeyman...we don't exist...at least on the level that person has created for us.

when exes leave us this way...we have the papers to prove that we existed, that an us existed, and most often that the other was the one who left...so we are simply a figment of the imagination...so how can they still hurt us for so many years later?
