 with a smile,

 

"C'mon slowpoke,"

 said the other,

 "Let's play awhile,"

 

"Too many rules,"

  he said,

  So she bopped him

  on the head.

 

  (But knowing

   he only half meant it,

   she took out the deck

   and she dealt it)

 

  After all,

  what's not to like,

  when happy her and he,

  and kitty makes three ...

 

   Hiding his smile,

   feigned look of denial,

   playing the innocent ...

 

   He thought

   secretly

   Lucky me.
