When I was a normal boy, I once broke my arm from swinging out of the tree.  Mom was so scared it brought her to tears.  Dad called an ambulance immediately.  I was in no pain at all.  I just had dirt all over myself, and a frown upon my face.  When the ambulance came, one of the EMT specialist touched the broken bone, and asked if it hurt. I just winced.
“He'll be a strong boy,” she told my dad.  “He's got guts.”
 I got over sixty small stitches for sure and a night in the medical bed.  Mom and dad stayed at my side the whole time. Dad up until now believed that I was a strong boy, and that I would stay one through out my whole life. He was wrong, just like always...
