That day in an Ice cream parlor

I saw a boy peeping from the little window,

A man drove him out.

He then disappeared.

The next day I found him nearby the road.

Gazing at the children going to school.

He wore shabby clothes,

But he again ran in despair.

At night, I found him lying on the pavement.

He murmured the only words:

‘’ Why they drove me out?

I want clean clothes to go to school.”

If you could answer his questions?

Slap on humanity!

Interesting, the story it tells is fascinating about poverty and such. The line I especially like is Slap On Humanity!

We gain more knowledge through trials, happiness brings very little learning because you are content. Spiritual progression is a great treasure over worldly things.

A sad poem. Poor teachers buy supplies for the kids in the USA. Parent can't afford to buy pencil and paper. The poem told a real story about our world. Too many kids are not getting the opportunity to go to school. It was a realistic and sad ending to the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem. You open the door for a long conversation.

Poignant social commentary you need it perfectly.

Sad. Nobody wants a needy person next to him/her.I wish all religions could be real and preach Humanity first.

A poem full of passion and truth, an attack on the haves to don`t care about poverty..we live in greedy times, and you reject this..very good.

I really enjoyed the story and message of your poem, I feel the ending could've been much stronger. You sum up the sadness and feeling in a very short amount of words, I can almost feel the boys saddness and hurt. It was such a strong story, that I just don't feel the end quite matched up. A great poem none the less.
