This Parabolic Life

This Parabolic Life

A Chapter by Kenneth The Poet

Two constants needed
to plot the negative curve,
a point and a line.

The focus, the point
below steering the curve from
the indoor portion.

The directrix, the
line above steering the curve
from the outer side.

The curve is born from
the child points all equally
distant from the sires.

The focus point and
the directrix line, parents
of this striking curve.

The parabola,
the path that human life leads
as time goes onward.

The curve points downward
because humans are creatures
in the negative.

Negative actions,
Negative emotions and
Negative intents.

But, the positive
view remains. There's the upswing
and the falling down.

The positive swing
upward and the negative
swing downward as well.

Both sides connected
at a point, the vertex, the
apex, the zenith.

Equidistant from
the parents, the focus point,
the directrix line.

Both parties always
steering the child on the path
that is right and best.

At the vertex of
the offspring's life, they all fall
onto the same line.

This line, halfway line
of symmetry brings all three
together as one.

A trinity of
point, line and curve, perfection
striven for by all.

The map here leads us
on this parabolic life,
no matter the soul.
