Unreached destination...

Unreached destination...

A Chapter by Anindita Janhabee
"

Get deep into the words...

"
In that windy evening
Down the path of dewy grass
You walked along with me.
My hand in yours, yours in mine
Walking together to nowhere
When your curious eyes stared me
And my unanswerable lips
Bent down, counting the footsteps
A drop of tear fell from my eye
Forming a transparent droplet
Right on the grass
As you stopped there and told
"I have waited enough to listen you"
And I replied
"These are the last steps we're taking together..."

There's a deep, painful sadness here, that's very palpable, and it only makes it better by your wonderful writing. The line about the teardrop and the very last line was so hurtful, it really punches you in the gut. Great poem!

that's weird. this type of feeling is really very weird esp. when the time comes to say goodbye to things around. short. simple. and very deeply written.

love's bizzare so it's possible to be hung in 'twixt its analogies so dramatically.
The title, the end, the feelings, the sadness your poetry has lots of emotions with an emotional theme. Nice poem.

A sadness here as the realisation comes forth that the relationship had ended.
The words themselves are difficult to speak, but it's best to speak them rather than to keep walking, as you have described so perfectly here. This poem really tugs at the heart.

Oh, this is sad. Why did you do this?
The steps should not stop, the destination should be reached together but having said that life always has external factors that come into play.
I loved your use of adjectives here to describe the thoughts, "windy evening". "dewy grass', "curious eyes", "transparent droplets", it is always these descriptive words that give so much strength to ones thoughts.
Having said that you should go through it a few times to increase the flow of each line.
A poem should go very smooth and this is so wonderful that you can make it perfect.
