A magnificently beautiful story ... Some might say that it was sad to read, and did not have a happy ending ... But I say, this story is perfect in that perfect timing of two people meeting, clueless that they would ever meet, who needed someone special in their lives at that precise moment in time. She gave you something no one else ever could have, and you gave her more than you will ever know, even though you do know ... This story is tender and touching to the very core of any heart that has ever had a first crush or first love, especially someone as special as I see that she was to you ... And you to her ... A wonderful memorial to her memory in keeping her memory alive ... Thank you for sharing ... Very well written ...

This was a very beautiful story..
I'm sorry for your loss.. It is so hard to lose someone, even if you know it's coming. If you love them, there's no other hurt in the world.

A truly beautiful piece!

It was heartfelt and very touching. C. Lee Battaglia, I really enjoyed reading it. It is so, so very sad and I am sorry that happened to her at such a young age and to you. It sounds like you did love her and will never forget her: Sara; she didn't judge you and was very kind. She sounds like a beautiful soul, and you are also very kind and respectful to her and her memory to write about her and say how special she is and how she helped you. I really appreciate it. Great writing - Thank you. Dale

This was absolutely beautiful. I'm so very sorry for your loss.. This made me cry..
I pray to my lossed ones. We have conversations in my head.. They always respond when I'm sad or in my greatest triumphs. Even if you don't pray much, you should try. They will always be watching over you :)

I always find it emotionally touching when such a serious event is told through a child's eyes, it gives it a depth that does't need to be explained. We all know what its like to be a kid and not know what's happening in a situation, and we hold tight to those softened blows adults give us till we are able to realize what's going on. You captured the softened blow without needing an adult perspective, which shows the power of younger minds. I personally learn new things from my little sister everyday. Thank you for sharing this.

Gorgeous. It must have been heart breaking to lose a young friend. I too can relate. My friend/neighbor, 14 years ago, had a baby veinn her brain. Because she was growing fast her vains did not grow along with her, and popped. Im not sure what the cancer was called, I was 10, but all I knew was that she left behind her little sister. Till this day I have always taken cate of the little teenager girl because I know that is what my Angel friend would have wanted me to do.
Therefore, thank you for sharing, this story did bring back memories.
