Very important, and a unique topic. I like how open-minded you were. It almost sounded like an actual tree speaking. And I also liked how emotionally connected you were. Feeling the tree's pain, how it suffers and how we as humans sometimes abuse its importance without a second thought. Very Interesting!!!
This protest... or in this case poetic protest of the tree is to the point and delivers the vengeful soul of the tree we so easily use as an asset rather than a blessing.
This is a good thought-provoking poem :)
This poem reminds me of Shel Silverstein's book "The Giving Tree". I agree with your poem, however, at times I do not think trees and nature are GIVING to us, but more that we are TAKING it, without respect and without replenshing what we take. if lived like the Native Americans had, I think we would be much better off. We would appreciate the life that we share with plants and animals, and respect everything we make from them. nice poem. You made me begin to think....which is good :)
I really like this one. but i think the repetition of "i give" kinda makes my head go numb. if you get what i mean. haha i just dont like when things are repeated over and over. but other then that its good.
this is such a creative way to say GO GREEN!! i love it. its horrible to see nature die off the way that it is. people pollute, factories give out smoke, cars burn fuel, and people cut down trees to make room for more malls and restaurants. it truly is a sad thing what this world is coming to
Excellent. Political poetry giving out the message. There is a famous poem about a tree, but it escapes just now. I shall google till I find it.
Well done.
More power to your pen.
