A Blush of Beauty

A Blush of Beauty

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

Spring is for painting a Masterpiece of Beauty...

Leaving the misunderstandings in the snow-driven shadows.

Tulips kiss the warm air where Butterflies will gather...

Windmills will turn with renewed vows of Serendipity.

"Where flowers bloom... so does hope" and forgiveness...

A quote by Lady Bird Johnson" as read in "Birds and Blooms.

A Magazine that flourishes in my Heart of Hearts.

(dedicated to my friend in poetry)

I really wish it would get here, Pat. I know you live in Virginia as I do, and I am sitting here before a blazing fire trying to get my feet warm. Come hither, spring!

Thank you for sharing. I am deep into spring-mania already, since we've been up to 70* & 80* for the past few weeks, no rain tho . . . a sad 10" total in the past year. This is a great description that generates excitement & emotion, just thru imagery. That's the crux of poetry, in my estimation. I have sunny windowsills full of romaine & other loose-leaf lettuces, about 5 or 6 ready to pick, full & luscious & green, no bird pecking! I never intended to grow winter lettuce indoors, I was only starting plants to move into the garden later. But these grew up so fast in this concentrated hot sunlight, I'm suddenly wondering why I never thought about growing lettuce indoors before? One whole side of my cabin, which is all windows, is fully sunlit! Thanks again for sharing your obvious infection from spring frenzy (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
