Like Them

Like Them

A Chapter by TheConjuringCat

He Speaks to quickly.

How am I supposed to follow?

I hold up my hands and he stops.

I point to my ear with one hand

And shake my head,

As if to

Say

"Nothing."

He looks and me for a moment,

Then pales as he

Understands.

"I'm sorry." he says slowly.

Pity.

I should be used to it, but I'm

Not.

They all think just because I can't

Speak

Like

Them

I can't think like Them either.

Because I can't hear,

I must be

Dumb.

I shake my head and

Sign slowly as I mouth

The words.

"I can still understand you."

But he can't read lips

Like I can and

Says

"I should go."

And he walks away

Without a

Sound.
