A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

One of my favourite songs is Weezer's Heart Songs in which he pays tribute to roots as diverse as Debbie Gibson, Slayer, Judas Priest, Nirvana and Michael Jackson - this is my take on that

"
been a while since i
saw the words in my head
felt compelled to wake up
in the middle of the night
"and her voice was filled with dirt"
sent shivers down my spine
"who are you little i" and I
was high " a host of golden daffodils"
a point when I was truly memorized
hypnotized "a patient etherized upon the table"
when she said
"the quality of mercy is not strained"
my heart cried out
in ecstasy
when he said he was
"down with the sickness"
and she told me
she wanted to be "my w***e"
they whisper sweetly to me
softly in the night
telling me to hold on
tight

"lady fingers they taste just like lady fingers"
and I just had to take a bite.

This was really cool, I enjoyed reading it

We all have different callings and different ways of expressing our thoughts to paper. I do like the first line...been a while since i
saw the words in my head
felt compelled to wake up
in the middle of the night

This is what I get. A need to get the words out of my head and on paper and share with others in a hope they will enjoy the story or poem. Sometimes it is just a poem or character that because of something happening around me flashes in my mind and I grab a pen and write only to just throw it in the trash ben when I am done.

there is much inspiration in the writings of the great ones...and someday we can only hope that our writing might inspire..even if it is one poem from one person...one other writer...whose pen is pushed a little by what they read of us.

Great flow to your words here. It's wonderful when other artists can inspire you. Very different. LYdi**

Used to be a big fan of Judas Priest, saw them many times, I mean who wouldn't be with all those chains and leather ;-) A very powerful write, I am getting to know your individual style.

Wow...I see...well, now it has a place because of this, smiles...
This poem is great and definitely really unique. I really like the way you mixed in other's stuff like down with the sickness, but still kept it original and from you. Awesome work. I love Disturbed and T.S. Elliot and e.e. cummings! My husband and I are planning on getting matching tattoos from an e.e. cummings poem the one that says "which says we are for each other" and I have a hummingbird already because of the T.S. Elliot poem "Marina" that I love SO SO much. Anyway, This poem is amazing. I just love it.
