A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

inspired by Jacob, to the poets I love the mostest.

"
These are some of the people I would invite to the dinner party of my dreams.

Anne,
you spoke to me
when no one else was
listening
and finding you,
saved me from
the end you chose.

Ogden --
poet,
master of light
hearted verse,
your Moose
will stay with me forever,
as will Farley's whale.

ee -
you
are my
little i.

William (both of you),
Edgar,
T.S.,
Samuel,
and John,
you lifted my
heart songs' wings.

Oscar,
I slept in the
bed in which you slept
(if sleeping is done in brothels that is)
and sat in
your chair
(if only your genius seeped through wood)

what a great guest list....i love this poem...

e.e. is in my top five...

that part about Anne...really got to me...

those poets saved me a couple times. and even they almost couldn't once.

this played to me like poet's love song.

I am so glad, since you inspired it.
I'm sure these people would be great to talk to. Particularly Oscar Wilde. He was great with the quips

Yes, he was, even when facing jail time.
Very cool dinner party, would love to hear the chatter after the vino. I'd like Sylvia Plath, LC, Oscar & Torquato Tasso to adorn my table. That would be a hoot.
