plagiarism and murder isn't much different in the minds of writers ...

On a lofty pedestal he sits.
he criticizes, analyzes;
pontificates
on love and war.

If vows can be made
at an altar, while lies
dance behind the eyes,
a total stranger can do the same ...

altered identities,
questionable entities,
veiled hostilities --
multiple personalities --
plagiarism caught and denied,
how many people will it take
to realize
HE LIED.

some thoughts on plagiarism and using the cafe' to dupe people for questionable purposes.

Plagiarism to me is theft...pure and simple. And I will hunt down and destroy the sorry piece of s**t who ever steals my work. Seriously....as Frieda will tell you I should work for the FBI...I have my ways of finding things and people. Believe me the idiot would be tarred and feathered for the entire internet to see. No one who claims to be a writer would ever steal another persons words!!!

I also should point out that when this has been an issue before ive seen fairly popular writers comment saying they don't really care if someone else shares or takes from their work. Well to me its that complacency that contributes to the problem. We all have to be vigilant otherwise its not taken seriously. If you don't care about your work why even put your name on it? Just sign as anonymous or unknown and share it for everyone to use. There was a time when plagiarizing or cheating was considered to be a shameful act and maybe its societies increasing complacency that gives so many the idea that its no big deal!

Thanks, and truthfully, this guy should have been kicked off for the other stuff he does. I am not surprised that plagiarism would get added to the list.

Im not surprised either, it goes with the type of person he is. I took four years of journalism and my teacher was big on the integrity of writers. He outright said he would never trust anyone who stole or lied in the attempt to be a writer or journalist. It was a clear statement of a persons morality to him.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I blocked him for serial reviewing and other sorts of deception, and now I have no doubt anyone capable of such treachery is capable of plagiarism as well.

I too do not know who this is about but there are many that this would fit. Either in this café or out in the real many people are not who they claim to be and a lie is a lie no matter he who tells it. Very well done.

Ok.. I know now.. About three years ago he got banned from a poetry site for having over 25 pen names and playing male/female roles and sharing personal info with people. It caused a lot of personal harm for one women who almost committed suicide after she found all she shared wasn't with a woman friend but a male..deceiver. If you google his name the article might still be up...xo

I've had said person blocked for almost a year after I witnessed a nasty review he placed on a female poets work. I called him out for it in an adult manner and he responded by using the f word with me. Ooooh wow how impressive...lol. So he has been blocked since. And I don't know if you've noticed but the reviews ive seen him do in the past few months don't even match the poems he is reviewing. Ive sat there and shook my head and thought wtf is he talking about.

My theory is he has a big text file with standard stock reviews, copies and pastes them on 7 poems a minute in hopes of reciprocal reviews. His alter ego minions have a similar approach.

Hardly denied, he deleted said poem here and who knows how many others, it obviously wasn't his, spells G U I L T to me...makes you wonder if the serial reader wrote any he claims to be his, who needs to plagiarize someone else's words if they can indeed write themselves. Too bad we can't name names, since he's got plenty of poets bamboozled on that cafe! LIAR!

Yes, it is amazing. Especially when he sends 100s of read requests to everyone, and his reviews are cut and paste drivel. Before I blocked him, I would put up a poem about something dark and twisted, and he would say something like, "this is light and airy" Yeah right.
