Lies

Lies

A Chapter by Luna

The smile on your face,
Is it as much a lie as what you speak?
Your words are all lies,
Lies that try to draw me in,
Weaken my defenses
So you can take over my mind,
My heart,
My soul.
I know what you are doing,
Your falsehoods are brought to the light.
I've figured out your trick,
Yet I still fall for it.
Am I so weak
That when I look into your blue eyes,
Eyes the color of the sea,
I drown,
Forgetting the lies,
The falsehoods,
The pain that is sure to come
If I trust you again?

this is very powerful!
and i can relate...i hate learning that people i care about have lied to me about big things, it hurts to look them in the eye and pretend you don't know cus you're hoping they might just open up to you themselves. and unfortunately they don't :(

great poem!

Wow. This is beautiful. I agree, this definitely shows how much a lie can hurt. I can relate to this and so many others can too. Very nice job.

Perfect way to explain how much a lie can hurt.
"Eyes the color of the sea, I drown." Such a good way to explain the feelings of hurt just by looking into their eyes.
Yet another poem perfect in its entirety

With hope, with heart, with all that matters,
We all, can change ... Start from anew;
If one more chance, to take and risk,
How sweet life can be with one kiss!
