Truly Me

Truly Me

A Chapter by Luna
"

I wrote this when I was bored at school and really upset a few weeks back. And no offense to those who like SPAM.

"
I try to be nicer,
I try to fit in,
I try to hide the girl
Who is screaming within.
They don't see my true self,
Don't know who I am.
To them I probably look like
A nasty can of SPAM.
I hide in the shadows,
Never to be seen.
They don't know where I'm going,
Don't know where I've been.
I cry and I cry,
But the people can't see
Who the girl inside is,
Who truly is me.

I like the rhyme at the end. and sometimes it's hard to hide who you are cause you feel that you wont be accepted :( this poem is really deep, 100/100.

I always like poems like this, I call them self awareness poems. It is a good measure to see where in life you are at the moment. I hope one day you get to see that fitting in is only temporary. Embrace yourself and never hide who you are from anyone. Once you do this you will fit into anyplace.

I use to eat spam all the time it is really good fried but I haven't had any in years.

I think if you continue to work on this piece and even dive deeper into the feelings behind it, it will become a truly powerful piece of work. Good write :)

As oddly as it sounds, I don't think SPAM is nasty. I actually like it. But anyways, this is a great poem, it has a really nice flow, I like how it rhymes. Seems kinda depressing, but very good nonetheless.
