Dear Rosie

Dear Rosie

A Chapter by Oran

It's been years since we've met; I'm not the same
The way we used to play our little game
I miss every second we've spent together
But as child, not everything lasts forever

Sometimes I think of you when it's dull
Or when life's so hard that it runs through my skull
I hate this place, Rosie, and so would you
And if you'd see me again, you'd hate me too

I've been busy writing something like a posie
And I obsess on anything cute. What about you, Rosie?
Do you still think we'll get along after all these years?
Because not a day goes by that I'm not shedding tears

My folly chokes me and bludgeons my heart
Don't you think it's because we drifted apart?
Did I hate my past? Did I grow-up too fast?
One thing's for sure: We couldn't last

I'm still a child Rosie, but I'm not the same
And I'm out of ideas for another game
I can't remember the moments we've spent together
Because you know I can't be a child forever
