Surreal Love

Surreal Love

A Poem by Silmara McGarry

,

Between the gracefulness of butterflies and the enchanting sweet colors of a warm spring morning, delivered in the most surreal dance, lays my Love for you…

Between the storms in the sky and the blue lights that surround the angels in heaven, mesmerized by the look in your eyes hypnotized by my Love for you…

Between each wave in the ocean, gripped by the motion of fresh winds and one thousand innocent pearls, in the hands of the singing mermaid, breathing calmly, sails my Love for you…

Between the fascinating birds in the forbidden forest, sweeping around ancient trees, sheltering the intense heat that flows quietly across its glittering waters, hides my Love for you…

Between the moon and earth, and stages of glowing stars, twinkling up the dark night with promises of light, and the great creations of God, reflects my Love for you.

Enchanting, beautiful and a mesmerizing write,Sil.
I love the uniqueness of this write. Very delicate and soothing piece to read :-) I could feel the warmth of that love that you are emoting to us readers. I love poems in which writers tend to use the elements of nature and existence and this is definitely one of them.
This is surely a surreal love and write :-)

A beautiful imagination of all those moments that are perfec for romantic love. Though I favor spiritual love than romantic, I love your metaphors that you have used to portrayed those moments. well written poem with free verse. these line are so touching, "Between each wave in the ocean, gripped by the motion of fresh winds and one thousand innocent pearls, in the hands of the singing mermaid, breathing calmly, sails my Love for you…"
thanks for sharing, Sil :-)

I don't really care for the format of this poem or the references to God. No offense. ;)

But this is still damn beautiful in its imagery and word usage and the title is aptly named. The Sea is a powerfully intimate visual. 'Tis a sweet poem about the nature of love and I enjoyed it immensely.

Good job, Sil! :)

What a splendiferous love poem. You weave nature and all her beauty through the affairs of the heart. You throw in a bit of spirituality. It works....and I enjoyed it. Lydi**

It's real easy to slip into clichés when there are a million love poems written every year. But in this case, your love poem is rich with unexpected comparisons & original-sounding ways of describing things that are familiar & relatable. I like the parallels between each couplet, starting with "between the . . . " which is one main reason your love poem sounds unique & uncommon. Rich imagery & good word choices.
