A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a short

ripe for folly

smitten with caustic love

heart accrues bruises

So easy to stumble when not paying attention.

yes, so easy...
thank you, Winston
j.
much happiness and pain abides when it comes
to matters of the heart, two sides of the coin ..
a gamble taken
in love' s tricky game..

very tricky...thank you, Fran Marie,
j.
That’s what can happen when you open your heart to love. There are no guarantees and the risk is always there for bruises or even worse. Brevity here which literally packs a punch in its sadness J.

Sadly, a heart in love does not come with a warranty.

Oh, yes. Bruises indeed. Not so bruising to read your usually enjoyable stuff, though, J.

Thank you, Andrew,

As an apple caressed in the palm, naive for affection, bled juice and skin from heartaches bite. It's as if we ask to be fruit thrown to the ground. For a few bliss moments, it's worth it. Never sour Jacob. Thank you for such great writes.
