Once Again?

Once more down into the well

Now not so deep and pure

To reface a valley which has died

Or re-new a mountains pride

Where growth of a thousand years

Now sheds a thousand tears

Can we re-wed that gracious bride

Pon whom we rain our genocide

Can once more we gently sway

That which warmed, with whom we lay

We cajoled beneath her open arms

While hacking them apart

Her endless vistas we did crave

Her breath gave us our start

But we treat her now

As we would, a shackled slave

Can we still hand in hand

With that gentle belle

Or have we sucked all the deep

From her magic well

Canada's three mid provinces are fighting against the reduction of methane gas production (a by-product of oil extraction) which is stupidity based only on the making of money.
Even though Canada is well down on the chart of overall emissions, we, per citizen, are near the top, which is every bit as depressing!

For someone we call our Natural Mother, we sure do treat her badly. If a juridical system exists for celestial bodies in our Solar System, the Human Race will surely be Convicted of Domestic Abuse and probably several charges of Attempted Murder too, considering the nukes that had been detonated and shook the Earth. Such enchanting and creative verses, but I wish things had been better for all of us, as in all living beings in existence, so such verses could've been dedicated to natural beauty instead -- Perhaps when there are no more sorrow and suffering in our universe, such is ... a very tempting fantasy,
