What lies behind the Mystery

"Don't judge a book by it's cover" a famous saying I am implying to this. Darkness adn mystery is one thing that hides me from the world.

Myster is my shelter

Darkness is my provider

And I,

rest with agony in my heart

You see what you want to see

I am who I please to be

Evil? Vengeful?

These do not describe me

I fear and embrace what I don't understand

I am Someone you don't understand

You fear what you don't understand

And I, am that

I am hurt beneath the appearance

I am scared beneath it all

Worry feels me and hate guides me

But I am what truly lies behind the myster

A simple person

Whose simply hurt

With no where to turn

And you mock me

There is a time and place for playing games with formatting, but this is definitely not it. You haven't really done anything meaningful by offsetting every other stanza, and the end result looks sloppy and horribly pretentious. Your content could be good, but the way you've handled it is just not appealing, to be frank. The ending, too, seems to leave too much up in the air - I would have much better liked to have seen more exposition and some kind of resolution here.

H-Harsh... It's not m-meant to h-have p-perfection wi-with its beginning or ending. Th-The formatting I understand, either w-way th-there are double view points re-resulting in the formating. If i-it was clumped together it would be worse to u-un-understand. A-And appealing isn't something t-to worry about in this poems. The worry spot i-is the content. Th-The content is what holds the message not if i-it is appealing or not. Using a f-famous poet, Edgar Allen Poe, used an odd f-formating for most of all of his poems. Either forming them into stories, double-view-points, or even a hick v-ver-version of Romeo And Juliet. He didn't s-seek out appealing he only focused on content and his poetry and st-stories are known world-wide. I re-respect your advise, but sometimes appealing or the cover of the book shouldn't b-be the on-only thing you look at.
